The pupils of Romblon East Central School (RECS) and Romblon West Central School (RWCS) welcomed the scholars of Philippine Science High School - MIMAROPA Region Campus (PSHS-MRC) as the latter holds a learning program and gift-giving activity as part of its corporate responsibility last December 6, 2018.

The PSHS-MRC scholars spearheaded a program to RECS at 8:00 AM and last to RWCS at 2:00 PM where they met pupils with a number of more than 300 in RECS and not less than 100 in RWCS pupils from grades 5 to 6. After the speech of the principal’s officer-in-charge of RECS, Lorry Foja Mazo, and the principal of RWCS, Susan Rodeo, and a message from the Curriculum Instruction Division Chief (CID) of PSHS-MRC, Mr. Glenn A. Atienza, one section from each grade level of Pisay conducted activities to entertain the pupils.

From special intermission numbers to S & T talks and shows, a number of elementary pupils enthusiastically participated especially in the experiments. The scholars amused the pupils with exciting stories about Pisay and encouraged them to take the next National Competitive Examinations (NCE). Indeed, some were encouraged and some remained indecisive.

To bring them closer to heavenly bodies through science, a telescope was donated to each elementary school following the showcase of output of the Robotics Club. Consequently, as the youth month nears, the pupils of the elementary schools were told to line up and were all given school supplies as an early present for their academic needs.

Finally, the scholars of PSHS-MRC together with faculty and staff of the event left the school premises with triumphant smiles.
